Everyone in country music knows she's a wonderful cook, and now, with the release of her bestselling cookbook "Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen", the whole world knows!  Join me & our live audience from the Gaylord Opryland Resort as Trisha makes her husband Garth's favorite dessert, German Chocolate Cake with Coconut Icing. 



Her mom Gwen makes a surprise appearance to rescue us as we bake Trisha's favorite Cocoa Cake with Caramel Icing.  And don't miss Trisha's sweet serenade as she performs a mega-hit with her acoustic band.

If you ask me, this is cooking as it should be...full of friends, family, and fun. 

Trisha and I each demonstrate cooking tips and shortcuts, and we have a blast teasing each other and laughing as we encounter little problems in our recipes (the bowl gets stuck in the stand mixer) and correct our mistakes (we forgot to put the chocolate in the chocolate cake!)  And Trisha's mom helps spill the beans about one of Trisha's worst kitchen disasters.  Tune in to
RFD-TV for the party (& to borrow Trisha's recipes) Thursday, December 18 at 8pm eastern/7pm central.

We set up a kitchen right there on the stage to prepare Trisha's cakes. Lorianne and Trisha are buddies from way back, and they share a mutual love of cooking! Okay, now that the hard work's done, Lorianne, Trisha and Gwen dig in! Besides cooking together, Lorianne, Trisha and Trisha's mom Gwen also take time to chat. Before each segment, Lorianne and Trisha had to make sure they had all the ingredients they needed. After all, they didn't have their pantry on stage with them! The live audience was not only treated to the taping, they also enjoyed samples of the final desserts. Trisha proved to the audience once again what a powerful performer she is. Lorianne and Trisha made a great cooking team. Now, we've got to get it right! Trisha plays with the audience and camera crew.
