It's been a pretty exciting past few days here on "the Row". With so many stars releasing new albums and singles this time of year, we've interviewed Kenny Chesney, Lee Ann Womack, Taylor Swift, Kellie Pickler, and the one and only Dolly Parton!
Gotta brag on Dolly. She is so funny, so personable! And she was at her best when we visited with her. A few months back she had been the target of a terrible internet rumor that she had died! It was so funny to hear her tell the story about her husband Carl coming up to her bedroom and saying "Honey, wake up! You're dead!"
We are here to tell you that Dolly is alive! And a live wire! From what I witnessed, she also turned YOU into a live wire, Charlie. She kept patting your knee during our interview. Was that steam I noticed coming out of your collar?
Yes, I was pretty much cooking at that point! Dolly and I go back a long way to growing up in the hills of east Tennessee. She has always been quick to brag that when she left east Tennessee, she took the hills with her!
And what did you take with you?
After Dolly was finished there was nothing left! Dolly is still in rare form with her "Backwoods Barbie" album, and the new single "Shinola". I know what you're thinking about that song title, and you are right!
Hey, another east Tennessee buddy of ours is Kenny Chesney. Boy, we had a wild conversation with him too...all about his newest CD "Lucky Old Sun". Click here to listen to what Kenny told us about the album cut "10 With A 2". It mirrors his early dating years, and yes, it's a little crass...but funny!
"Fun" really is the word that describes our interviews with the stars! I don't know what gets into all of us, but we've had the giggles lately. Be sure to join us for the laughs on our Crook & Chase Countdown every weekend, and on our C&C tv show on RFD-TV each week! It's even more fun for us knowing you are there joining in on the party!
