We are trying to come to terms with the fact that we are officially "party animals".  This wonderful dilemma occurred just the other day at 3:30 in the afternoon as we arrived to visit with, and party with, Darius "I've Got Three #1's and a Platinum Record" Rucker.  Quite a middle name, huh?
Darius' platinum and #1 party happened to be scheduled on the same date, at the same time, as Brad Paisley's #1 party for his single "Then". So all of the Nashville media ended up in a harried caravan to get from one party to the other. We ran to Darius' party first to do interviews, then we all hopped in our crew vans to rush up Music Row to celebrate with Brad Paisley. As soon as we ate all his party food, we all jumped back in our cars and headed back to feast at Darius' party!
You're probably wondering, 'Why did they rush back to Darius' party?'  Well, at Brad's party they were serving water and soft drinks. At Darius' party, they were serving everything else! And you know how the media can be!  Seriously, both bashes were a lot of fun, well deserved, and accepted with a lot of humility by the big stars. With Darius, the conversation will always end up with golf as the topic. In Brad's case, it was kind of unusual... he ended up talking about Lorianne's hair!
Yes!  It was embarrassing.  It was a rainy, humid day, and I had what I call a "hair explosion".  It frizzed out every which way and was huge because we did so much running back and forth to the aforementioned parties. My hair was SO big, that during Brad's interview, the cameraman kept pushing me sideways to keep my fuzzy hair out of the shot.  This turned out to be Brad's perfect opportunity to show his dry sense of humor and tease me.  Click here to see some of the fun that ensued!
Once again, congrats to Darius and Brad, who are probably still getting some giggles out of the media frenzy they caused that afternoon!
