LORIANNE'S GREEN FRUIT SMOOTHIE
Ashton Shepherd is like a lot of southern cooks. She flavors her vegetables with bacon fat! However... Lorianne has an alternative way to include healthy greens in your diet. Add kale to a fruit smoothie.

And here's how you can make your own super-healthy smoothie.
Banana
Leaf of Kale
1/2 Kiwi
Handful of frozen strawberries
Cup of Orange Juice
Honey or Maple Syrup
Water if needed
Tear the leaves off of the central spine of a kale leaf, and toss into a blender with your choice of fruit. Lorianne used 1 peeled banana, 1/2 of a kiwi (scoop the fruity part out of the fuzzy outer peeling) and a handful of frozen strawberries.
Add a cup of orange juice and, if you'd like, some honey or maple syrup. You might also need to add some water.
Blend at high speed, and enjoy!
Oh... and Lorianne gave this tip to Charlie on peeling a banana. Take a lesson from gorillas, who peel bananas from the opposite end than we usually do. Lorianne says it's easier!
