Let's see what you think now!  Sample a few of these suggestions... and then e-mail us and let us know your oddest food combination.

Bologna, Cheese and Lettuce with Peanut Butter and Miracle Whip - Carol

My favorite weird food is......peanut butter-mircle whip-bologna-cheese-lettuce...I had this craving when i was pregnant with my son 16 yrs ago and am still lovin' it. have it at least 3 times a month of course everyone thinks I am crazy. --Carol, DuBois, PA

Peanut Butter and Bacon on Toast- Laura

Hello from the North!  I was listening to your show this morning (local station plays it every Sunday- KX96) and you were talking and eating peanut butter mixed with sugar and it got me thinking. It is a long time standing family tradition to eat peanut butter with bacon on top. Now it can't just be made by itself but rather when you are eating that big old greasy breakfast with eggs and bacon and toast, you have to leave the toast and bacon to the last and then put on some peanut butter it all and enjoy. I believe that it started with my Papa and then my Mom did it when she was pregnant with me and now I do it. My boyfriend thinks that it is awful but he has never tried it. I think that you both would enjoy it. --Laura, Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada

Peanut Butter, Soft Butter and Pancake Syrup - Brenda

Hi Lorianne and Charlie:  I listen to your Countdown show every Sunday. I have a peanut butter combination for you. I mix peanut butter, soft butter and pancake syrup together (will be a very smooth mixture), then spread on toast, pancakes, waffles, or crackers. Makes the peanut butter real soft and doesn't stick to the roof of my mouth. Love eating this. --Brenda, Franklin, MO

Fried SPAM and Sugar // Peanut Butter and Honey sandwich dipped in ketchup - Carol

I like to fry spam and put eat it with sugar on it. I like peanut butter and honey sandwiches, then I dip them in ketchup. I don't always get to listen to you and it's nice to look at things on your website. I love Country music, and used to watch you on TNN. Thanks for the great Music. -- Carol , Cosmos, MN

Peanut Butter, American Cheese and Sweet Pickle Sandwich - Amy

My babysitter used to make us these sandwiches, and now my daughter loves it too. Peanut Butter, sliced american cheese, and sweet pickles (sliced lengthwise). These really are soooo delicious!!  --Amy, Tunnel Hill, GA

PB&S: Peanut Butter and SPAM sandwich -
Jason

I know you two have tried the weirdest peanut butter and..... combos ever, but I think I have one that will drive everyone up the wall: PB&S (peanut butter and SPAM). When I used to volunteer at the local railroad museum, I would always carry a peanut butter and Spam sandwich. (I still have it once in a while!)  --Jason, Ringgold, GA

Colby Cheese with Strawberry Preserves - Arianna

Hi Lorianne & Charlie:  We listen to you almost every Sunday morning while delivering our MIDs (that bag of ads on the mailbox). Each of you has a really great style of interviewing and we always learn something when you talk with different guests. When you sample different "weird" food suggestions while giving a blow-by-blow description of how you're eating these dishes makes us laugh. And you surprise us with ones you do like.  My grandmother used to take me into her kitchen when I was very young and she would slice off little slabs of cheese from a thick wheel of Colby she always seem to have. She would then arrange them on a plate and then spread strawberry preserves like she would on toast. Her treat was fun then and I still make it from time to time. Maybe another "weird" food combination?  Always looking forward to your show!  -- Sincerely, Arianna

Pepperoni Pizza with Mashed Potatoes & Brown Gravy
Peanut Butter, Jelly, Mayo, Ketchup, Cheese and Bologna Sandwich -- Gina

Lorianne and Charlie:  I have to tell you, we were listening to your show today while cleaning out the garage and heard the weird food combo with the hot dogs and mashed potatoes. I think that my kids have that beat! My oldest son absolutely loves pepperoni pizza with mashed potatoes and brown gravy! My youngest son on the other hand, LOVES peanut butter, jelly, mayo, ketchup, cheese and bologna. I have no idea where they got it from because to me, that is the sickest thing I have ever heard of!
-Gina (sons Casey and Brady are the weird food eaters!), Missoula, MT

Peanut Butter and Sweet Pickle Sandwich -
Sara

Cheetos and Peanut Butter - Luke Bryan (Hey... when you're stuck on a tour bus, you eat what you can get your hands on!)

Peanut Butter, Cucumbers and Cinnamon on Toast - Maria

I just wanted to send in a weird food because when I make this sandwich people think it's so gross - my daddy always ate it! So you can either have it on bread or on toast - toast is better!! Put peanut butter on both sides of the toast - I put butter too, and then slice cucumbers up and put them on and then sprinkle cinnamon and then enjoy. What I find really weird - is my daddy puts mayonaise on one side instead of both peanut butter - so try that to make it a little weirder!! Hopefully you enjoy it!!!
- Maria, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada

Icing and Pickles

Lorianne and Charlie actually liked it! They used chocolate icing, and as Lorianne says, chocolate with anything is "a good thing"!

Strawberry jam on a grilled cheese sandwich - Gail

Hey Lorianne and Charlie -- I listen to your "weird food combos" on the Countdown every time I get a chance and I thought you should try this one: make a grilled cheese sandwich like you normally would (you know---buttered bread, cheese, bread again and grill until golden brown) after the sandwich is cooked, while it is still warm, spread strawberry jam on top and ENJOY!!! I can't eat a grilled cheese sandwich without my strawberry jam anymore and I've been doing this for years.

Frosting on plain Saltine Crackers - Suzanne

I have 2 that sound really weird, but my family loves. The first one is unbelievably simple: After my mom would make & frost the cake, there was always some frosting left over. So if the cake was for something special and we couldn't have it that night, she would let us have the remainder of the frosting on plain saltine crackers. I LOVE IT!!!

Pear & Cheddar Cheese Pie - Suzanne

The second one is my mom's Pear & Cheddar Cheese Pie. It's great either warm or cold. This is the first and only fruit pie I have ever eaten warm! (Click here for the recipe.)

Dip Frito corn chips in chocolate pudding - JoAnn

Ketchup on a sugar cookie

Peanut Butter on Brats
- Sue

- Robert

Peanut butter, mustard and sliced pickles

Egg and Tuna Cone - Katherine's Brother

My little brother thought this up and it tastes delicious. It's called the egg and tuna cone. You need an ice cream cone, egg salad and tuna salad. You start by taking the ice cream cone and putting some egg salad on the very bottom. Then layer some tuna salad above that and keep layering tuna salad and egg salad until you reach the top. There you have it. An egg and tuna cone!

Rice with beet juice and A-1 Steak Sauce - Lillie

Hello my name is Lillie. I listen to your show each Sunday.  I came across my strange food combo by mistake. We did not have any sweet and sour sauce for the rice I was making. I don't like to eat plain rice, so we were having beets that night and I put some of the juice from the beets on my rice and it was good. Then another night I put beet juice and A-1 sauce on the rice and it was still really good. Another good combo is American cheese on a blueberry bagel. Then someone else I know likes to make toast then put on mayo, lettuce and peanut butter.

Sliced bananas and diced baloney in apple sauce -
Shel

I love listening to your show! What a way to spend a few hours. I watched your television program faithfully and was sorry to see it go off the air. Now I have what I think is a combo that tastes good. It is bananas (sliced), applesauce, and bologna (diced) mixed together. My family thinks it is weird but, I find it wonderful.

Scrambled Eggs and Marshmallows
- Dean & Maureen

After the last couple of weeks of you talking about weird food combinations, I finally decided to tell you about my son Dean's weird concoction. Dean liked to cook and he was very inventive, he was 16 at the time. He made what he called Eggallows. He would scramble eggs, add marshmallows and eat! Sometimes he would add syrup on top as well! His 3 younger siblings took a liking to it as well but luckily don't ask me to make it! We sit and laugh about it all the time. Dean was involved in a car accident November 2005 that took his life. We have so many fun and loving memories, and with our faith we make it day by day. So I say, live on Eggalows!!- Thank you, Maureen (aka - Homeskillet, Dean's nickname for me :))

PB&J, Ham and Cheese - Liz

Peanut Butter and Dill Pickle Sandwich - Katie

Ever since we were little kids my sister (Alice) and I (Katie) would eat peanut butter and dill pickle sandwiches. It is good on any kind of bread or bagel, toasted or plain. My favorite though is an everything bagel toasted. Not only do my sister and I eat these sandwiches, but I have gotten my 5 year old nephew (David) and my 2 ½ year old niece (Meagan) into eating them and it is their favorite sandwich as well.  - Katie, Oshawa, Ontario Canada

Miracle Whip on a Peanut Butter Sandwich - Dan

I have a weird food combination that I tried when I was just a little boy. I wanted a peanut butter and jelly sandwich but we didn't have any jelly so my mother suggested I use Miracle Whip. She had it before and said it was good so I thought I would try it. Believe it or not, it really is good. Peanut butter and Miracle Whip. Give it a try before you judge it. You might like it to!! It sounds bad but it is good!!  - Dan, Marshalltown, Iowa
